Mountain Black bear

B.C. is known as bear country for it’s high populations of black bears (estimated at 150, 000 animals). The omnivorous animals become active in April, allowing us to begin spring spot and stalk hunts from the river boat the first of May

This abundant population of black bears permit for a less strenuous hunt with a very high hunter success rate. The bears that are harvested in this area are in the 6-6.5 foot range. This is a 2 hunters per guide hunt and an excellent mountain experience for couples or families.
