Mountain Goat

IMG_0264.HEIC

British Columbia is the heartland of mountain goats and contains more than half of the world’s population, with the most dense area being the Northwest corner of the province. Mountain goats are generally confined to prominent mountain ranges where their unique body build allows them to thrive despite the severe terrain and harsh conditions. Goats in the Tatshenshini Park average 9 inches in length. Mountain goat hunts are very similar to sheep hunt as they are habituate the same areas, but in a greater abundance. Making this hunt a more affordable alternative to a sheep hunt as well as a great add on for a sheep hunt! These hunts run from August to mid October and are offered by horseback or backpacking.
