Mountain Goat

British Columbia is the heartland of mountain goats and contains more than half of the world’s population, with the most dense area being the Northwest corner of the province. Mountain goats are generally confined to prominent mountain ranges where their unique body build allows them to thrive despite the severe terrain and harsh conditions.
The most stunning capes are harvested during the late season hunts from november to the end of february. These late season hunts capitalizes on the mountain goat’s mating season in late november which draws the billies to lower terrain. This is a lodge based hunt and uses quads on tracks to access goat terrain.
Fall season goat hunts run from August to October. Clients are flown in and dropped off at pristine high alpine lakes providing entry into prime goat country. This is a backpack hunt where you become an occupant of glorious goat habitat for the duration of your hunt.
